Bergamot essential oil is a perfect example of making “lemonade out of lemons.” This oil comes from a fruit so sour it’s inedible, and yet it has a tangy, fresh, bright scent with a smooth, slightly balsamic undertone. It has a calming and soothing effect, which is good for when you feel stressed, anxious or emotionally low. It mixes very well with other citrus oil. Bergamot is also an excellent essential oil for skin care, and can soothe minor skin irregularities and conditions.
